I disapprove of people spending their lives in misery when they can learn the lesson and move on.
I'm all about learning the lessons.

Courage sometimes feels like failing. In my case, it took several years for me to finally decide that I had nothing left to try.

Thank you for your comment.

I generally disapprove of divorce, but sometime\'s it\'s necessary. Your story of the hummingbird is inspiring. Sometimes it takes courage to realize that you can do something and should have all along.

Thank you, Christy!
My life...I spent the ensuing eight years in two relationships, then decided I had to be alone, and was celibate for the next four years while I climbed my internal mountain.
In 2005 I met the man who is now my husband--and, yes, my life is GREAT!
Thank you, again~
I hope you have wings...

In this life we live there are times we all feel like your Humming bird, trapped on the other side of the window. But if we’re strong enough to pause, we can find the help we desperately need. Sometimes it’s only a matter of looking inside.

Your Humming bird gave you wings, and the fact that it touched you so much you had to have it tattooed is amazing. Your story is an inspiration, to all of us who still feel stuck on the other side. With perseverance, we too can go.

Happiness is calling, are you willing to answer?

I hope your life is still going great and you’re still letting yourself go.

I think that everyone is as strong as I was and am. We just have to be open to the possibilities and be willing to take the walk.

I'm sure that Suicide Prevention Hot Lines can be found in local phone books--having never called one, I don't have that information.

Thank you for taking the time to read the post and for responding.

I think it takes more courage to admit that a relationship is over than to continue the cycle of misery and stay married. That being said it still a dark time to go through and I'm glad to hear that you pulled yourself through. May I suggest placing some kind of contact information for people who are not as fortunate as you such as a suicide helpline? There are many people who unfortunately are not as strong as you who need professional help.

Sometimes it takes more than a "troubled hummingbird" to realize the bad situation that you're in. You have been fortunate to be able to get out of the misery. Divorce takes a lot of courage as it makes one admit that they have a failing marriage (if they see marriage as a sacred bond rather than just someone to share your bed with).

Glad hear that there is a happy ending to the story. Fly free like your hummingbird, woman!
